The Daily Acca: Napoli to prove too strong for Lazio

Napoli manager - Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti will still hope that his team can catch Juventus

It's two from Spain and one from Italy for Paul Robinson today and it all culminates in a Napoli win. Here are his selections:

Back Over 2.5 Goals in Rayo Vallecano v Real Sociedad @ 9/10
Back BTTS in Levante v Valladolid @ 4/6
Back Napoli @ 21/20

The Acca pays approximately 11/2

Plenty of goals between improving duo

Bet 1: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Rayo Vallecano v Real Sociedad @ 9/10 - KO 17:30 GMT

The hosts have shown great improvement in recent weeks as they signed off for Christmas with a 2-1 victory over Levante, and have since started 2019 with victories over Valladolid and Celta Vigo.

Those nine points have seen them climb to 18th in La Liga, and victory in their game in hand this evening would see them move out of the relegation zone.

The visitors have also improved of late as they have played four times under new manager, Imanol Alguacil, and they remain unbeaten. They won both of their league matches, however their two draws against Betis in the Copa del Rey were not enough to see them progress, as they exited on the away goals rule.

The goals have been flowing in nearly all of the matches that I have mentioned above. Vallecano have scored seven across the course of their last three outings - two of which saw this selection land. It's also worth noting that eight of their 10 at home this term have gone over 2.5.

Sociedad have scored seven in four, with their last two matches finishing 3-2 and 2-2. They are playing much better under Alguacil and should feel confident in taking the game to their opponents.

Levante's home trend to continue

Bet 2: Back BTTS in Levante v Valladolid @ 4/6 - KO 17:30 GMT

Goals at both ends should be on the agenda in the fixture between Levante and Valladolid, as the two of them aim to consolidate their mid-table position.

There have been plenty of goals in Levante home matches this season as they have scored 15 and conceded 21 across the course of their nine La Liga outings on this ground. That's an average of exactly four goals per game, and the only team that they failed to find the net against was Barcelona.

The stats aren't quite as impressive for Valladolid, but they are currently on a run of three of BTTS backers collecting away from home. They won 2-1 at Sociedad on December 9, before going on to draw 1-1 at Athletic Club and Valencia.

Lazio to be turned over in Naples

Bet 3: Back Napoli @ 21/20 - KO 19:30 GMT

The Serie A title has probably gone already for Napoli as the perennial runners-up are nine points behind Juventus, and the Old Lady don't appear to be slowing down.

Carlo Ancelotti's side are still in a clear second though, as they hold a four point lead over Inter in third, and they have a game in hand.

The hosts are unbeaten in Naples this year - winning eight and drawing two - and they also beat Liverpool and drew with PSG here in the Champions League.

Opponents, Lazio, are in fifth place, but they have won just two of their last eight Serie A fixtures. They have been beaten three times on their travels this season, and they have lost the last four meetings against Gli Azzurri.
