Goals at a premium in cup rematch
Bet 1: Back Under 1.5 Goals in Fluminense v Cruzeiro @ 31/20 - KO 22:00 BST
The hosts finished in 12th place last season and they haven't shown too much to date that they can improve on it.
Fluminense have won one and lost three of their four league matches so far this term. The victory was a very strange 5-4 win at Gremio, where they came back from 3-0 behind to take the points in Porto Alegre.
The visitors have taken six points from a possible 12 so far this season, with both of their victories coming at home. They don't have the greatest away records though, so a draw wouldn't be a bad result for them tonight.
I am going for a low-scoring affair though, as I can't see there being many goals. Two of Flu's four this season have seen this selection land, and Cruzeiro are far from prolific on the road. It's also worth noting that they met in the cup during the week - a 1-1 draw, with the second goal coming in injury time.
Flamengo to come up short in Mineiro
Bet 2: Back Atletico MG @ 7/4 - KO 23:00 BST
Flamengo looked like they were going to win the title last season, but their challenge faded and in the end, they were a well beaten second.
Their campaign this year has started with a mixed bag of two home wins, an away draw and an away defeat. They have faced a couple of tough opponents, but things don't get any easier here, and I have concerns about their away results.
The selection are a big name in Brazilian football but they didn't quite fire last season. The Rooster, as they're known, won their opening three matches of this year though, however they were beaten by Palmeiras most recently.
Odds of 7/4 appear to be generous for the home win in this fixture, even though there isn't much between the two teams.
Top of the table clash to go to the champs
Bet 3: Back Palmeiras @ 3/4 - KO 23:00 BST
Reigning champions, Palmeiras face their toughest test to date this season as they play host to a Santos side who have also taken 10 points from their opening four fixtures.
These two teams are first and second in the division, and even at this early stage, the likelihood is that they will remain there - or not far off.
Luiz Felipe Scolari's hosts are the more established side at present however, and while Jorge Sampaoli could build something special with Santos, I think that tonight could be a learning curve for them.
