The Daily Acca: Middlesbrough to solidify their place in the top six

Middlesbrough manager - Tony Pulis
Can Tony Pulis get back into the Premier League?

Saturday's edition of the Daily Acca sees Paul Robinson looking at games in the Championship and League One. Here are his selections:

- Back Middlesbrough @ 13/10
- Back Bristol City @ 2/1
- Back BTTS in Plymouth v Luton @ 4/5

The Acca pays approximately 11/1

Value to be had on Teeside

Bet 1: Back Middlesbrough @ 13/10 - KO 15:00 GMT

The Boro have improved at home of late to win two and draw two of their last four outings at the Riverside. They are fifth in the Championship, and are going slightly under the radar when it comes to promotion - albeit via the Play-offs.

The visitors to the Riverside this afternoon are Brentford, and they are 15th under Thomas Frank. The Bees have won three of their last four, but all of those victories came at Griffin Park, and away from home it's two defeats on the bounce and just one win all season.

Oppose Leeds at the prices

Bet 2: Back Bristol City @ 2/1 - KO 15:00 GMT

The Robins are in poor form and face one of the best teams in the league today, but I have to back them at 2/1 when they are at home.

Lee Johnson's side are still sixth in the league table, so they are right in the Play-off mix, and prior to their 2-1 home defeat by Birmingham, they had won four in a row at Ashton Gate.

Leeds thumped West Brom 4-0 at Elland Road last week, but they have been a bit ropey on their travels of late. It's three away defeats from five for Marcelo Bielsa's men, and they were beaten at Loftus Road most recently.

Goals at both ends at Home Park

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Plymouth v Luton @ 4/5 - KO 15:00 GMT

The hosts fell to a 2-0 defeat at Sunderland last Saturday, but I can forgive them that, and I can see them putting up a real fight against the League One leaders this afternoon.

The Pilgrims have taken 13 points from a possible 15 at Home Park of late, and this selection has landed in their last four there.

The visitors are five points clear at the top and are looking like certainties for promotion at this stage, and they come into this match without having lost any of their last 10 away from Kenilworth Road.

As far as the goals go, BTTS backers would have collected in five of those 10, and while I fully expect the Hatters to score at least once today, I just can't see them keeping a clean sheet.
