There are three games from the Championship for Paul Robinson and the followers of The Daily Acca today as he focuses in on how many goals will be scored. Here are his selections:

The Tractor Boys have banged in 35 goals this season, which is the third highest total in the Championship. Unfortunately for them, they have conceded 32 at the other end, and only six other teams have a poorer defensive record.

That has led to their matches averaging 3.19 goals each time, with 12 of their 21 seeing over 2.5 backers collect - and five of those have come from their last six at Portman Road.

Reading blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Cardiff on Monday evening and that was their third match in a row to finish with the ball in the net on three occasions or more. Their last four on the road have all gone over 2.5, and all the signs are pointing towards a fifth this afternoon.

Bet 2: Back Under 2.5 Goals in Derby v Aston Villa @ 8/11 - KO 15:00 GMT

This should be a cracking game at Pride Park as the two Midlands club battle it out to try and get closer to an automatic promotion place. I can't see there being many goals though and I'm firmly in the under 2.5 camp.

The hosts have played 10 times in front of their own fans this term and eight of them have gone under. They will be desperate to avoid defeat against Villa and a point wouldn't be too bad of a result.

Steve Bruce's side have drawn their last two outings, which although a disappointment, has at least extended their unbeaten run to five games. They too will value not losing ahead of winning this match, and four of their last five away from Villa Park have had two goals or fewer.

Bet 3: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Bristol City v Nottingham Forest @ 4/6 - KO 15:00 GMT

We finish with what should be a high-scoring affair at Ashton Gate as Bristol City take on Nottingham Forest. Lee Johnson's men have won three on the spin, and their last four have all now seen this selection land.

The same can be said for their last four in front of their own fans as they have won two by a 2-1 scoreline, lost to Preston by the odd goal in three, and also lost 3-0 to Leeds.

Nottingham Forest are unpredictable when it comes to the match result, but goals are usually guaranteed. Their fixtures this year are averaging 3.14 goals per 90 minutes and 13 of their 21 have gone over 2.5 - including three of their last four away from the City Ground.
