Atleti defence to prove vulnerable
Bet 1: Back BTTS in Valencia v Atletico Madrid @ 1/1 - KO 19:00 BST
The first big clash of the La Liga takes place this evening as Atletico Madrid travel to Valencia, and I am of the belief that there will be goals at both ends.
The hosts proved to be a revelation last season as they finished fourth in the table, just three points behind Real Madrid in third. That was quite the achievement for a club that had been in disarray on and off the field in the previous couple of years, and manager, Marcelino, was rewarded with funds to invest over the summer.
Atletico Madrid had a bit of a mixed campaign last time around as they flopped in the Champions League, but then went on to win the Europa and finish as runners-up in La Liga.
Diego Simeone hasn't rested on his laurels over the summer as he's made numerous signings, with the highlight being the purchase of Thomas Lemar.
The visitors proved their well-being by winning the UEFA Super Cup last week - a 4-2 win over Real Madrid, after extra time - and with Valencia being relatively free-scoring at home, even money for both teams to score is a price I can't refuse.
It has to be goals with Liverpool involved
Bet 2: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Crystal Palace v Liverpool @ 4/7 - KO 20:00 BST
Monday night football comes from Selhurst Park this evening and the goals are surely set to flow with Liverpool in town.
The Reds have been labelled as the only real title rivals for Manchester City this season and if they played like they did against West Ham on the opening weekend, it's hard to disagree.
Jurgen Klopp's side looked devastating when they went forward and should really have scored more than the four they managed.
This won't be a walkover though as Palace looked very good in their 2-0 win at Craven Cottage in their first game of the campaign, and in Wilfried Zaha, they have a player who will terrorise any defence - and the Liverpool one still has a question mark against it.
Klopp only knows one way to play, so you can guarantee that Liverpool will be on the front foot from the off and even if they get ahead, they won't just settle for a 1-0. Add in the very real threat of Roy Hodgson's men netting one or two themselves and it's not a stretch to suggest that this selection could be done and dusted by half time.

Home fans to be happy in Bilbao
Bet 3: Back Athletic Club @ 3/4 - KO 21:00 BST
Back to Spain now for the other La Liga fixture of the day, and I'm taking Athletic Club to begin with a win against Leganes.
The selection had a poor year in 2017/18 as they finished a miserable 16th in the table, which really is poor by their standards. Former Celta Vigo and Sevilla boss, Eduardo Berizzo, has been brought in as manager to revive their fortunes, and results in pre-season have been positive - four wins and one defeat.
Opponents, Leganes, finished in 17th last term, but they actually achieved the same amount of points at Bilbao. They didn't do that well on their travels however as they lost 13 of their 19 outings - including a 2-0 defeat on this ground in March.
