The Daily Acca: Home wins in Portugal and Germany

Portuguese football fans
The Portuguese season started this weekend

The week begins with a mixed bag of fixtures for Paul Robinson as he has picked out games from Germany, Portugal and Brazil. Here are his selections:

- Back Koln @ 8/13
- Back Portimonense @ 11/10
- Back BTTS in Fluminense v Internacional @ 1/1

The Acca pays approximately 6/1

Koln to make it two from two in Bundesliga 2

Bet 1: Back Koln @ 8/13 - KO 19:30 BST

The hosts were relegated from the Bundesliga last season as they finished bottom of the table with 22 points. Scoring goals wasn't too much of an issue as they outscored both Freiburg and Hamburg, but with 70 against, they conceded 14 more goals than the next worst record.

The good news for new boss, Markus Anfang, is that his team kept a clean sheet in their opening match of this new campaign - a 2-0 victory at Bochum. Pre-season also had plenty of promise with an array of good results, culminating in a 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen.

Opponents, Union Berlin, also won their first game of the season as they beat Erzgebirge Aue, 1-0 at home. They needed a late goal to get the job done though and las year they were beaten eight times in 17 away matches.

Boavista's away form to continue on from last season

Bet 2: Back Portimonense @ 11/10 - KO 20:15 BST

Over to Portugal now for what will hopefully be a home victory for Portimonense against Boavista.

The visitors finished eighth in the table last year, but that was largely down to their form at home. On the road they lost 11 of their 17 outings and won only twice. They ended the campaign with seven defeats and a draw from their final eight away games.

Portimonense won this fixture last term by a 2-1 scoreline, and the victory was one of eight home wins. They finished the season in 10th, with 28 of their 38 points coming on this ground, and they ended the year with three wins from their final five home outings.

Back goals in Brazil

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Fluminense v Internacional @ 1/1 - KO 00:00 BST (Tues)

We conclude in Brazil for a Serie A fixture between Fluminense and Internacional, that has a strong chance of having goals at both ends.

Internacional are having a fine season given that they have only just been promoted back to the top flight. They are up in fourth place, and can go third if they win their game in hand tonight.

Fluminense are in ninth and they seem to have put a bad run behind them - four defeats on the bounce - by taking eight points from their last five matches.

It's all about the goals for us though and this selection has landed in four of the visitors' last six away from home. While only two of Flu's last five in front of their own fans have followed suit, they haven't kept many clean sheets, and I can definitely see them finding the net themselves.
