The Daily Acca: Lazio to make it a routine home win

Can Lazio finish third this season and qualify for the Champions League?

Paul Robinson kicks off the week with a Daily Acca that features matches from the Serie A, La Liga and the Premier League. Here are his selections:

- Back Lazio @ 4/9
- Back Over 2.5 Goals in Las Palmas v Malaga @ 9/10
- Back Over 2.5 Goals in Watford v Chelsea @ 10/11

The Acca pays approximately 4/1

Bet 1: Back Lazio @ 4/9 - KO 19:45 GMT

The hosts could do with a win to get back on track following their 2-1 defeat at AC Milan last week. Fortunately for Simone Inzaghi's side, Inter again failed to pick up three points, so a victory for Lazio this evening would see them move four points clear in third place.

A quick glance at the table would make you think that a home win is a formality as their opponents are down in 16th place. Genoa have proved tricky to beat on their travels of late however and their loss last time at Juventus was their first in five away games.

Nevertheless, they are still a team who struggle to score goals and they also fired a blank last time out at home to Udinese in a 1-0 defeat. Given that Lazio have racked up 12 goals over the course of their last three at Stadio Olimpico, I have to feel that the 4/9 about them is a fair price.

Bet 2: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Las Palmas v Malaga @ 9/10 - KO 20:00 GMT

There is a big relegation clash in Spain this evening as the second from bottom, Las Palmas, take on Malaga, who currently prop up the table.

The home side come into the match having lost four of their last five in La Liga. They are half a dozen points from safety, but they could half that deficit to three with a victory in their game in hand tonight.

The visitors have drawn their last two outings, but they haven't won since a 2-0 success at Real Sociedad back in December, and they are in even more need of the win as they are seven points behind Levante in 17th.

The stats aren't overly pointing towards goals here, but it is worth noting that Las Palmas' last three in front of their own fans have seen this selection land. The main method to my madness however is that a draw doesn't either team much good, so they both have to go all out for the victory.

Bet 3: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Watford v Chelsea @ 10/11 - KO 20:00 GMT

Javi Gracia has taken charge of Watford for two games now and they are yet to score a goal. They lost 1-0 at Southampton in the FA Cup, before drawing 0-0 at Stoke in the league last Wednesday.

Tonight they face a Chelsea side who need to put in a performance following their 3-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge at the hands of Bournemouth when they were last in action.

Antonio Conte is a man under intense pressure, but he at least has Olivier Giroud available to him this evening following his move from Arsenal on deadline day.

Prior to Gracia's arrival to Vicarage Road, the Hornets' matches had been full of goals, so they clearly have a high-scoring affair in them. Chelsea have had three of their last four away from home go Over 2.5, so the 10/11 is a bit of value.
