The Daily Acca: Dortmund's defence to let them down again

Borussia Dortmund manager Peter Stoger
Peter Stoger's side are in a battle for second place in the Bundesliga

The week begins with trips to Germany, Italy and Spain for Paul Robinson as Monday's Daily Acca pays around the 10/1 mark. Here are his selections:

- Back BTTS in Dortmund v Augsburg @ 8/11
- Back Under 2.5 Goals in Cagliari v Napoli @ 6/5
- Back Betis @ 15/8

The Acca pays approximately 10/1

Plenty of goals with Dortmund involved

Bet 1: Back BTTS in Dortmund v Augsburg @ 8/11 - KO 19:30 GMT

The race for second place in the Bundesliga is an interesting one as second to sixth are covered by a handful of points. Bayern are way ahead at the top, and Dortmund are leading the race for second, but they will need to win tonight to keep their noses in front.

I fully expect Peter Stöger's side to get the victory here - even though they have won just five of 11 at home this season. I do fancy Augsburg to grab at least one goal though, as both teams to score has landed in seven of BVB's last nine here.

As for the visitors, they are in mid-table but they have lost their two latest outings. As far as the goals go, they have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last six on their travels, and they have netted themselves in three of their last five.

Economical rather than extravagant for Napoli

Bet 2: Back Under 2.5 Goals in Cagliari v Napoli @ 6/5 - KO 19:45 GMT

Napoli are in a ding-dong battle with Juventus for the Serie A title and they held a slender one point lead going into this week's set of fixtures. The pair are miles clear of the chasing pack, so it's down to Maurizio Sarri's side to wrestle the Scudetto away from the Old Lady.

Their record away from home is actually better than in Naples this term as their only blemish was a 0-0 draw at Chievo back in early November. They haven't been blowing teams away, but their economical victories have led to six of their last eight ending with two goals or fewer.

Cagliari are fighting their own battle at the wrong end of the table, but they have a big enough gap to the relegation zone to not be overly concerned. They were beaten last time out, but prior to that they have taken five points from a possible nine.

In their last home match they beat SPAL 2-0 and that was their third game from four to go under 2.5 at home.

Real Betis to pick up another away win

Bet 3: Back Betis @ 15/8 - KO 20:00 GMT

We finish in Spain for an intriguing match between Levante and Real Betis that Betis appear to be a bit of value in at the 15/8 mark.

The hosts are down in 17th place, haven't won a game of any description since a 2-1 Copa del Rey success over Espanyol on January 4th and haven't recorded a La Liga victory since they beat Las Palmas on November 19th.

It's interesting to note that both of those wins were away from home - as was the one prior to that - and they haven't won here since September. It's just three points from 24 in front of their own fans, and I really wouldn't read too much into their 2-2 draw with Real Madrid when they were last in action here.

Betis were beaten 5-3 by Real last time out but that come on the back of two straight wins and three of their last four away from home have ended in victory - including a 5-3 win of their own at Sevilla.
