Paul Robinson is aiming to head into the weekend on a 12/1 winner, and his Daily Acca starts with the opening game from the Championship. Here are his selections:

- Back The Draw in Watford v Middlesbrough @ 23/10
- Back Lyon @ 20/23
- Back BTTS in Avai v Ponte Preta @ 23/20

The Acca pays approximately 12/1

Hornets to be held

Bet 1: Back The Draw in Watford v Middlesbrough 23/10 - KO 19:45 BST

Neil Warnock begins yet another promotion challenge, this time at Middlesbrough. He took over towards the end of last season, guiding them to safety, and so far his tenure has all the hallmarks of his time at Cardiff.

Watford are back in the Championship following their relegation from the Premier League, and they have yet another new manager in charge. Vladimir Ivić has managed in Greece and Israel, and he never played in English football either.

The Championship will certainly be a baptism of fire for him, and that will begin from the off against a Neil Warnock side. He has a better team on paper, but the Boro will be more street-wise, and I think that they can take a point from their trip to Vicarage Road.

Lyon to impress again

Bet 2: Back Lyon @ 20/23 - KO 20:00 BST

Lyon completely dominated Dijon on their return to domestic football, following their Champions League exploits. The visitors took a shock early 1-0 lead, but it was one-way traffic after that, and Rudi Garcia's men should really have won about 8-1, not 4-1.

Today they travel to Bordeaux, which is a much harder fixture, but I don't think it will stop them extending their 100% record. The hosts have played twice this season - drawing one and winning one - but they have only faced Nantes and Angers.

Bordeaux won just four of 13 on their own patch last term, and Lyon won here in January, by two goals to one.

Goals to be had in Brazil

Bet 3: Back BTTS in Avai v Ponte Preta @ 23/20 - KO 23:15 BST

Avai have endured mixed fortunes since their relegation from the Brazilian top flight last season. They have played seven, winning three and losing four.

Ponte Preta are five places above them in the table, in sixth, and they are on a roll, having won four of their last five.

It's the goal-side of things that I am concentrating on here though, and I think both teams to score is a decent price at odds-against. The visitors have seen all four of their away matches end without a clean sheet for either team, while the hosts have kept just the one clean sheet at home from four attempts.
