It's Championship action for Paul Robinson this afternoon as he has picked out a goal-fest and victories for a couple of promotion chasing clubs. Here are his selections:

- Back Over 2.5 Goals in Aston Villa v West Brom @ 6/10
- Back Norwich @ 4/6
- Back Sheffield United @ 2/5

West Midlands derby to entertain

Bet 1: Back Over 2.5 Goals in Aston Villa v West Brom @ 6/10 - KO 15:00 GMT

Two of the Championship's great entertainers meet each other at Villa Park this afternoon, and with the added spice of it being a local derby between two promotion rivals, I am anticipating big things.

The hosts need to bounce back from a defeat at Brentford during the week and in truth, Dean Smith's side need to put a string of wins together if they want to make the top six.

The Baggies dropped points at home to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, but they showed great character by twice coming from behind to draw 2-2.

As for the goals, Villa's matches this season are averaging 3.31 goals each time - the highest in the entire division - with Darren Moore's men one place behind them with a 3.29 average.

Norwich to bounce back at Bolton's expense

Bet 2: Back Norwich @ 4/6 - KO 15:00 GMT

The Canaries fell to a shock defeat at Preston on Wednesday, and with Leeds winning, they lost their place at the top of the league. It was their first Championship loss of 2019, but they should be able to get back on track at Bolton today.

The Trotters actually won during the week - a 1-0 success at Birmingham - but they are still a poor team who are second from bottom. They have lost seven of their last 11 in front of their own fans, and are the lowest scorers in the division.

Daniel Farke's visitors meanwhile are the second highest Championship scorers, as they have racked up 61 goals in 32 outings. They have lost just one in 14 away from Carrow Road - winning seven of them.

More of the same at Bramall Lane

Bet 3: Back Sheffield United @ 2/5 - KO 15:00 GMT

The Blades are third in the table, hot on the heels of Norwich and Leeds above them. They negotiated their way past a very tricky fixture against Middlesbrough during the week - they won 1-0 - and I can't see them slipping up against Reading.

The Royals also won in the week - a 2-1 success at home to Blackburn - which was a result that extended their unbeaten run to four games. The previous three were draws though, and they remain just one place above the relegation zone.

Reading haven't won on their travels since a 3-2 win at Preston in mid-September, while Chris Wilder's men have won five on the bounce at Bramall Lane. This has to be considered a home banker.
