It's a Friday night in Argentina for Paul Robinson and followers of the Daily Acca today as he turns his attentions to the Superliga. Here are his selections:
The Acca pays approximately 13/2
Bet 1: Back Chacarita Juniors +1 Goal @ 8/5 - KO 22:00 GMT
We begin with what could be a surprise at Estadio Norberto "Tito" Tomaghello as I can't be having Defensa y Justicia at such a short price.
The hosts come into the game on the back of three straight league defeats - all without scoring a goal - and they also lost both of their non-competitive matches while the season was on a break.
Even at home it's just two wins from seven this season and they were beaten 1-0 by Velez Sarsfield the last time they played in this stadium.
The selection are down in 24th place in the standings but they have won two of their last three league fixtures, and the scorelines were 3-0 and 2-0.
Admittedly both of those were at home, and on their travels it's two points from a possible 21 this year, but their confidence will be high and I'm willing to take a chance on them with a one goal head-start at such an attractive price.
Bet 2: Back Union Santa Fe @ 11/20 - KO 22:00 GMT
Our second selection should hopefully be a formality as the fourth placed, Union Santa Fe, are at home to the rock bottom, Arsenal de Sarandi.
The hosts were actually beaten last time out but it was away from home and only their third defeat of the campaign to date. In front of their own fans it's four wins and two draws from their six outings, and three of their four victories were to nil.
The visitors ended a four match losing streak when they were last in action, but a 0-0 draw at home to Gimnasia La Plata is hardly worth shouting about. They have won just one of their 14 games this season and lost 10 of them.
Away from home it's five defeats from seven and just one point from a possible 12 of late.
Bet 3: Back BTTS in Newell's Old Boys v Colon @ 5/6 - KO 00:15 GMT (Sat)
We conclude with a both teams to score pick as I believe that Newell's leaky defence will allow Colon to net at least once in Rosario.
Juan Manuel Llop's men conceded four times at Estudiantes in a 4-2 defeat last time out and while they won 2-1 prior to that, it was at home against Arsenal de Sarandi.
They have kept just two clean sheets in seven home fixtures this term and none of those came from their four most recent outings here - three of which saw this selection land.
Colon are on a miserable run of four straight defeats - all of which were to nil. They went into the break with two losses and have come out of it with another two.
In fairness though, three of their opponents are currently in the top five and the other are in the top half. This should be a bit easier and prior to their two latest away defeats, they had gone four unbeaten on the road - scoring in three of them.
