Cross-Sport Multiple: Back Oldham for the draw

Andrew Hughes landed the treble last Sunday and he thinks League One strugglers Oldham can help kick off another weekend cross-sport multiple on Saturday.

"Oldham are no world beaters but they have drawn three of their last six at Boundary Park and can make it tough for their visitors."

Bet 1: Back Oldham to draw with Peterborough at 3.211/5

Peterborough's bid to return to the Championship at the first attempt has been a bumpy ride so far, but after a turbulent first half of the season, they find themselves in the play-off positions, nine points off automatic promotion.

They've had a nightmare run in recent weeks, going six games without a win, but have steadied the ship with victories over Tranmere and Notts County.

But their away form remains a concern. They've won just one out of nine on the road and that was against League Two opposition. Oldham are no world beaters but they have drawn three of their last six at Boundary Park and can make it tough for their visitors. Back the home side to earn a hard-fought draw.

Bet 2: Back Mark Williams to beat Mark Allen at 2.0521/20

The Snooker Shoot-Out is a one-frame knock-out event played to non-standard rules, which include a time limit of ten minutes per frame and fifteen seconds per shot.

A one-frame match is pretty much a lottery, so in these circumstances it makes sense to plump for the bigger priced outsider, and in the case of Mark Williams and Mark Allen, the head-to-head record offers some support.

They've both won five apiece, but although Allen won their last meeting in a European Tour event last year, Williams has won three of their last four matches, including a 13-5 demolition at the 2011 World Championships. Back the Welshman to win at odds against.

Bet 3: Back Racing Metro to beat Toulouse at 1.51/2

Toulouse finished three places and six points ahead of Racing Metro in the Top 14 last season and are once again faring better domestically than the big spending Parisians. They also won the reverse fixture by a cosy 30-6 margin in Toulouse.

But the key factor here is not league position or even form, but home advantage. Winning on the road is not unheard of in the Top 14, but it seems to be harder than other European leagues and both these clubs are conforming to the pattern.

Racing have won seven of their eight home league games, while their opponents have lost all seven away fixtures. Toulouse may be heading for another top four finish, but the sensible bet is to stick with the home side on Saturday.
