Bet 1: Back Liverpool to beat Manchester City at 2.37
There is still time for a few twists and turns in this season's Premier League story but Sunday's clash between first and third will surely have a huge impact on the outcome.
Both teams are in blistering form at the moment. Liverpool are on a run of nine consecutive wins, whilst Manchester City have lost just one of their last twenty league games, and between them these sides have found the net 174 times this season.
But whereas a draw would not be the end of the world for the visitors, a win is essential for Liverpool and that could give them the edge. The home side's ferocious pressing game could put City on the back foot, and roared on by a packed Anfield in their biggest game of the season to date, I'll be backing Liverpool to prevail.
Bet 2: Back Saracens to beat Northampton at 1.51/2
The Aviva Premiership battle resumes this weekend and Northampton have a tough assignment as they attempt to hold on to second place. Leicester are closing in fast and if the Saints were to slip to third, that would give the Tigers home advantage in their Premiership semi-final.
Saints have a good recent record against Saracens, having beaten them three times this season, but they have hit a bad run of form of late, failing to win the Anglo Welsh Cup and then suffering two costly league defeats.
The likely return of fly-half Stephen Myler is a boost, but they are still missing captain Dylan Hartley, and are up against a team in superb form that has lost just one of their last twelve league games. Back the home side for the win.
Bet 3: Back Stuccodor at 4.57/2 to win the Alleged Stakes at the Curragh
Sunday's Listed contest over ten furlongs at the Curragh looks a fairly open event with two horses contesting favouritism and a couple of likely contenders.
Tarana is a twice-raced four-year-old who finished second in a decent Listed event in the autumn, but could need this race on his seasonal return, and soft ground specialist Inis Meain who is fit from a hurdles campaign can't be ruled out either.
But I think this is between Jim Bolger's Parish Hall and Stuccodor from the Dermot Weld stable. Parish Hall is a solid performer and won this race last year. He could be hard to beat but has been off since October and his main market rival could have a fitness edge. Stuccodor produced a career best in landing the Irish Lincolnshire last month and the Weld stable is flying at the moment so he's the one to be on.
