Bet 1: Flamengo (HOME) @ 1.66 (4/6)
The hosts have started to really motor of late and a run of six wins from their last 9 league outings has seen them climb up to second. I would still be surprised if they won the title but with it being such an open race, you wouldn't be wise to rule them out.
Tonight they take on a Ponte Preta side who are doing well themselves as they are up in seventh place and they will hold hope of possibly finishing in the top four and qualifying for the Copa Libertadores.
The visitors are much more accomplished in front of their own fans than they are on the road though as it's just two away victories all season and they've been beaten in six of their 11 outings - including three of their last four.
Zé Ricardo's men will see this as an ideal opportunity to possibly close the gap on leaders, Palmeiras, who have a trickier fixture ahead of them tonight, and with them being in such good form, it's hard to see them not holding up their end of the bargain.
Bet 2: Gremio (AWAY) @ 3.1 (21/10)
It hasn't been the best week in the world for Gremio as they were beaten by Botafogo on Sunday and are now down to sixth in the Campeonato.
There is no hiding from the fact that their record away from home has been poor of late - one point from a possible 12 - but I haven't given up hope on them and Roger Machado is a good manager who won't panic.
Tonight they visit Couto Pereira to face a team who are in 16th place - a mere two points clear of the relegation zone. Coritiba have shown improved form in recent weeks but they are still one of the poorer outfits in the division.
This selection is far from assured but we are getting a decent price about Gremio putting a stop to their away woes and it's worth considering the fact that they have won four of the last five meetings between the two of them - including the only one that was played on this ground.
Bet 3: Atletico MG v Vitoria BA (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.61 (8/13)
This week's goal-fest comes from Belo Horizonte as title chasing, Atletico MG, look set to compete in a high-scoring affair against Vitoria BA.
Atletico started the campaign in pretty miserable fashion but they are really up and running now and are just four points from top spot.
The goals have been flowing with regularity at home and that has led to seven of their last eight seeing over 2.5 backers collect. Marcelo Oliveira's side haven't been keeping clean sheets either so it's not like we are putting all our hopes in them netting three times.
Vitoria BA may be down towards the bottom of the league but they have at least been scoring goals in their away defeats. They've fired just the one blank over the course of their last six on their travels and they are yet to keep an away clean sheet this term.
Bet 4: Palmeiras v Sao Paulo (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.7 (7/10)
We conclude with the current leaders of the Brazilian top flight, but I can't see many goals when Palmeiras host Sao Paulo.
I am usually a big supporter of goals in Palmeiras matches but they haven't been as prolific recently and they are still missing key players to international duty.
Results for Cuca's side haven't really deteriorated but there has been a significant drop off in goals and Sao Paulo are a team who can frustrate their opponents.
There is no denying that the visitors are underperforming given the stature of the club but their problems have been in the attacking third and not the defensive one.
Ricardo Gomes' men have only outscored three teams in the entire division, but conversely, only three teams have a better defensive record. That has led to their matches averaging a mere two goals each time, with 13 of their 22 ending with the ball in the net on two occasions or fewer.
