Bet 1: Lille (HOME) @ 2.15 (23/20)
Both of these teams could really do with a win as the hosts have suffered back to back defeats while Rennes have lost three on the bounce.
It's Lille who should come out on top though as prior to their two very excusable losses at PSG and Lille, they had won their three previous matches.
In Ligue One they have won five of their eight fixtures this season and while victory this evening won't move them into the top half of the table, it will give them a boost heading into the winter break.
The visitors are higher in the division - seventh - but they've already lost seven times this year and that's more than any other club in the top 11.
Their record away from home is pretty shocking - four points from a possible 24 - and they were even beaten by the rock bottom, Lorient, at the end of November.
Bet 2: Nice (AWAY) @ 2.87 (15/8)
The league leaders are the outsiders for their trip to Bordeaux and that's just wrong.
Nice are four points clear at the top of Ligue One and they've only been beaten once this season. They are without some key defenders this evening but this is a side that have won five of their eight away matches and they are facing a Bordeaux team who are woefully out of sorts.
Bordeaux's only recent victory was actually against Nice in the Coupe de la Ligue but Lucien Favre's men have excelled in the league as opposed to the cups.
The hosts have lost their three most recent league outings - all to nil - and two of those were by 4-0 scorelines. Even at home it's back to back defeats and it's difficult to see them living with the leaders.
Bet 3: Monaco v Caen (Over 2.5 goals) @ 1.44 (4/9)
The most consistent thing in French football this year has been high-scoring matches involving Monaco and I don't see why tonight will be any different.
Monaco have played 18 times this year and 15 of them have seen over 2.5 backers collect. Their fixtures are averaging 4.06 goals each time and all nine of their outings on this ground have ended with the ball in the net at least three times.
Opponents this evening are Caen and their defenders will be worried as they've already shipped 30 goals this season. A third of those have come in their four most recent away matches and on this latest road trip they were beaten 4-2 by Lille.
Bet 4: SC Bastia v Marseille (Under 2.5 goals) @ 1.57 (4/7)
We conclude with our low-scoring affair of the week and today it will hopefully come in the match between Bastia and Marseille.
This one is all about the stats as Bastia's matches are averaging 2.06 goals per 90 minutes this year, with Marseille's not much higher at the 2.11 mark.
A total of 21 of the 36 fixtures that these two have played have seen this selection land and that includes six of Bastia's last six on this ground. Marseille are in decent form and they've kept three clean sheets in their last four games, so there's a good chance of Bastia failing to score.
