Black Eagles to entertain

Besiktas v Konyaspor
Friday 26 June, 19:00

The four goals we needed in Switzerland didn't arrive in the configuration we expected last night, but at least they came, as Zurich won 4-0 at Swiss Super League contenders St Gallen. We'll stay on the goal trail and head to Turkey, because the clash between Besiktas and Konyaspor should feature plenty of entertainment.

Since the restart, Istanbul giants Besiktas have lost 2-1 at home to Antalyaspor, and they won 5-1 at Denizlispor. Former Roma and Fiorentina maverick Adem Ljajic has scored in both games. 12 of Besiktas' last 15 Super Lig games have featured three goals or more, and the fact they have the worst defensive record in the top six has contributed to that. Their goalkeeping woes are well-documented, with Loris Karius struggling to rediscover the form that once persuaded Liverpool to sign him.

Konyaspor are battling relegation, and although they have the worst attacking record in the division, they have scored three goals in two games since the restart. Six of their last 11 away games in the league have seen an Over 2.5 Goals bet land.

Besiktas usually cough up a few chances, and with key defender Domagoj Vida short of full fitness, they'll be further weakened. Over 2.5 Goals is trading at [1.88], and given Besiktas' record, that's an attractive price.
