It's second tier Brazilian action for Paul Robinson tonight as he thinks that Paysandu's trip to America Mineiro will result in goals.

There are only five games left in the Brazilian Serie B season and America Mineiro are looking good to be plying their trade in the top flight next term. The top four earn promotion and they sit in second place, but they need to keep the wins coming as Sampaio Correa in fifth are only four points behind.

Opponents, Paysandu, aren't too far out of the mix themselves as they are in seventh place, just two points adrift of Bahia in fourth. They can't afford to be beaten here though and, in truth, probably need to win as there are a whole host of other clubs competing for the top four.

Our focus is on how many goals are going to be scored tonight though and with 47 in the 'For' column and 36 in the 'Against', the hosts are seeing their matches average 2.52 goals each time. While only 16 of their 33 have rewarded under 2.5 layers, it's worth noting that six of their last seven at home have finished with exactly three goals scored.

The visitors got their groove back on Saturday as they beat CRB 5-1 in front of their own fans. Dado Cavalcanti's men have had four of their last seven on the road end with three or more scored and they haven't kept a clean sheet since the beginning of September.

There's plenty on the line in this one and I'm expecting an open game. Which is why, with under 2.5 goals trading at around the 1.991/1 mark, I have to make it my lay of the day.
