Against All Odds: Romans to conquer Turin

It's all coming together for Roma under Rudi Garcia
It's all coming together for Roma under Rudi Garcia

Arguably the biggest match of the day comes from Italy as top of the table Juventus host undefeated Roma, and with all the action live on BT Sport at 19:45, Paul Robinson is backing the visitors to take at least a point.

"This should be a cracking match-up and although the hosts have to be considered the favourite, their odds do seem rather short."

Juventus have had an exceptional Serie A campaign thus far as they've won 15 out of 17 to sit on top of the league - five points clear of their nearest rivals, who happen to be tonight's opponents. Their record in Turin is perfect - eight wins from eight, 23 goals scored and just four conceded.

Antonio Conte's side are not unbeatable though. Not only did they lose at Fiorentina back in October, they exited the Champions League at the group stage as they won just one match, losing at both Real Madrid and Galatasaray. It is also worth noting that Andrea Pirlo and Carlos Tevez may not be 100% fit as the former is returning from injury and the latter arrived back late from Argentina following personal problems.

Roma are currently undefeated so they'll be disappointed to only be in second place. They started the season like a train - 10 straight victories - however they've been held to draws in five of their last seven and that has let 'The Old Lady' sneak ahead of them.

The key to their success has been a transformation in defence. Under old boss Zdenek Zeman they were absolutely fantastic going forward but truly dire at the back. That's all changed under Frenchman Rudi Garcia as they now have one of, if not the best defence in Europe, conceding just seven goals so far this term. While five of those did come on the road, they have netted plenty themselves away from Stadio Olimpico and have scored only four less than Juve.

This should be a cracking match-up and although the hosts have to be considered the favourite, their odds do seem rather short. That's why, with Juventus currently trading at around the 1.728/11 mark, I have to make them my lay of the day.
