Against All Odds: New boys Pescara to get another result on the road

Can Franscesco Modesto help us to another winning bet?

Pescara travel to Chievo for a Serie A clash tonight and while the Betfair market doesn't give them much hope of getting a result, Paul Robinson thinks the away team could spring a surprise.

"The Dolphins are 16th with eight points from nine and you could argue that they’ve performed better on their travels than they have at home."

Empoli produced a wonderful comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2 last night to score us a winning bet. And with luck like that on our side, I'm staying in Italy this evening.

Chievo are down in 18th place after a poor start that saw them suffer five straight defeats and sack their manager. Eugenio Corini is the new man in charge and he has started to turn things around; winning his opening match against Sampdoria and drawing with Fiorentina.

They did lose to Napoli in their last game though, but that can be excused. What can't be excused however is their form at Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi. The Yellow-Blues have been under par at home for most of 2012; losing six of 15 fixtures and winning just five.

Pescara are newly promoted to Serie A after being crowned champions of Serie B last term. Unfortunately for them, they lost their manager in the summer, but Giovanni Stroppa has made a solid start as boss.

The Dolphins are 16th with eight points from nine and you could argue that they've performed better on their travels than they have at home. A 3-0 loss to Torino was followed up by a draw in Bologna and a win in Cagliari, and they did finish last season with eight away wins out of 11, albeit at a lower level.

Chievo may be boosted by a new manager, but there is no way that they should be trading around the 1.774/5 mark, and that's why I'm making them my lay of the day.
