We're returning to England tonight, and Kev's expecting goals in League One.
"Rochdale's last eight League One games have featured at least three goals, and seven of those matches have contained four goals or more."
AFC Wimbledon v Rochdale
Tuesday 28 March, 19:45
Starting the week with a kick in the teeth is never great, but that's what we had to put up with in Argentina last night. Our boys Velez Sarsfield were 1-0 up and closing in on a vital home win against Huracan, but conceded an 86th-minute penalty, which booted our odds-against winner out of the window.
To slightly cooler climes now, and a dip into English football's League One. AFC Wimbledon are up against Rochdale, and I fancy a few goals.
I have an admitted soft spot for Rochdale, as one of my best friends has supported them since we were at school. I've frozen my bum off doing commentary at Spotland, watching Grant Holt rattle in the goals for Dale in the middle of the last decade.
It's heartening to see Dale doing well, and boss Keith Hill is continuing to work his miracles. The Lancashire club are just six points off the playoffs, and given that they have only ever won three promotions in their long history, these are exciting times. Their recent matches have been pretty exciting too - Rochdale's last eight games have featured three goals or more, and seven of those have contained at least four goals.
AFC Wimbledon are enjoying their first ever campaign at this level, and they are currently well clear of the dropzone. Their recent matches haven't been quite as goal-filled as Rochdale's, but over the course of their whole season, 28 of their 49 games have seen an Over 2.5 Goals bet land. That includes 15 of their 24 home matches.
I'm going for goals again.
