Cross-Sport Multiple: Back Chelsea to bag the points

Andrew Hughes is banking on Chelsea to beat Newcastle to help and another Saturday Cross Sport Multiple...

"Chelsea are undefeated on the road this season and have won seven of their eleven away games in all competitions."

Bet 1: Back Chelsea to beat Newcastle at 1.558/15

Chelsea shrugged off the absence of Diego Costa on Wednesday to comfortably dispose of Tottenham and on his return from a one match suspension they should have no difficulty in brushing aside Newcastle on Saturday.

They lost the corresponding fixture at St James Park last season, but they are a much stronger team this year and won't have too much to fear from Newcastle. A remarkable run of five Premier League victories may have kept Alan Pardew in a job, but his squad has been ravaged by injuries and that strong form has stalled in the last week, as they've picked up just one point from games against West Ham and Burnley.

Chelsea are undefeated on the road this season and have won seven of their eleven away games in all competitions. Back Jose Mourinho's men for three more points.

Bet 2: Back Munster to beat Clermont at 1.538/15

Experienced European campaigners Clermont have beaten Munster in three of their five meetings, including their latest clash, in the semi-final of the 2012-13 Heineken Cup, but this weekend Munster can level the score.

After a strong start to the season, the French side have faltered of late, and lost ground in their European campaign when losing to Saracens. They are far less formidable on the road than at home, and will be up against a Munster side currently lying top of the Pro12 and their European Pool, having put together a run of seven consecutive victories in all competitions. Back the home side for the win.

Bet 3: Back Stephen Maguire to beat Judd Trump at 2.77/4

We're at the semi-final stage of the UK Championship and I think Stephen Maguire is a solid bet to reach the final at the expense of Judd Trump.
Trump looked impressive in disposing of Mark Davis in his quarter-final, while Maguire had to battle to withstand a late Marco Fu fight-back in his last eight match.

But it's worth noting that the Scotsman has an excellent record against Trump. He's won ten of their fourteen matches, including their last two, and whitewashed him 5-0 in the Wuxi Classic in June. Back Maguire to edge it.
