After two defeats in four games, an FA Cup semi-final tie at Wembley would have come as a welcome distraction for Chelsea, had it not been for the fact that their opponents are in-form Tottenham, the team that has won eight games in a row and cut their lead at the top of the Premier League to four points.
We should be wary though of assuming that Tottenham will be the same force at Wembley as they are at White Hart Lane. As Dave Tindall points out in his must-read match preview, Spurs have a poor record at the venue, and despite their good form, they are yet to beat a major team away from home this season.
It's also worth noting that recent FA Cup games at Wembley have had a tendency to go to extra time. Four of the last nine have ended level at the end of normal time, and last year's first semi-final was only settled by an Anthony Martial goal in the 93rd minute. A cagey affair seems likely and the draw offers some value.
The Delhi Daredevils have been improving in recent IPL tournaments and have shown some promise so far this campaign, but two defeats in a week has slowed their momentum and I can't see them getting anything from Mumbai on Saturday.
The Indians have won their last five and on Thursday they sailed past a challenging target of 199 with 27 balls to spare against Kings XI. Now that Jos Buttler has settled into the tournament they have a much more dynamic top order to go with their deep batting and experienced attack. Back them to make it six in a row on Saturday.
Munster will be making a record twelfth appearance in the semi-finals of European rugby's top competition on Saturday, and I'm backing them to mark the occasion by seeing off the strong favourites Saracens.
The English side probably have the edge on paper, and are hitting form at the right time, but Munster have their fair share of stars and play a disciplined, dogged brand of rugby that should not be underestimated. Their strength at set pieces and the advantage of playing on Irish soil should enable them to match the reigning European champions and I'm backing them to edge this one.
