Andrew Hughes thinks Everton will earn a point against Chelsea on Sunday and help to land another weekend multiple in the process.
“The Blues have won eight but lost five out of fourteen on the road so far this season and have also struggled in Premier League fixtures that follow Europa League away games, winning one out of four.”
After another drama-packed season at Stamford Bridge, things seem to be looking up for Chelsea after their impressive win against Tottenham in the league and a comfortable victory over Dinamo Kiev to reach the Europa League last eight.
But as Dave Tindall points out, this is not a Chelsea team that you can bank on away from home. The Blues have won eight but lost five out of fourteen on the road so far this season and have also struggled in Premier League fixtures that follow Europa League away games, winning one out of four.
Everton are struggling for fluency, particularly at home, but manager Marco Silva has shown he knows how to frustrate the big teams, holding Liverpool to a draw in the Merseyside derby, and earning a point at Stamford Bridge in November, so I'm backing the Toffees to match their visitors on Sunday.
The NRL returns this weekend and the final game of Round One promises to be a real blood and thunder affair as the Raiders take on the Titans.
Last season's clash at the CBUS Stadium produced a dramatic game in which the Raiders raced into a 24-12 half-time lead and then blew it, conceding three Titans tries in the second half to lose 30-28.
In fact, it typified a frustrating season for the Raiders, who finished tenth, but lost eight games by six points or less, and they will be determined to put that right this time round. The Titans have a monster pack, but the visitors boast the stronger attacking edge and if they can weather the early Titans storm, should win this.

Pundits have been predicting a Denver collapse all season, but it hasn't happened, and with Nikola Jokic leading the way, they are emerging as a significant threat to the Golden State Warriors in the West, where they currently lie second.
Indiana have been similarly underrated in the East and showed their resilience by grinding out a win against a tough Oklahoma side last time out. Still, without star guard Victor Oladipo they lack that additional offensive spark that they need to compete with the very best, so I'm backing Denver to win this one.
