Hull v Brighton
Monday 19:45
Live on ITV4
Match Odds: Hull 1.814/5, Brighton 5.69/2, The Draw 3.65
The matches are bunched closer together than Hull would like but, two days on from taking a giant stride towards Premier League safety by thrashing Cardiff 4-0 away, they can seal an FA Cup quarter-final spot by beating Brighton.
Whoever progresses will earn a home tie against Sunderland. Having done a Premier League double over boss Steve Bruce's former employers, the Tigers will start dreaming of a day out at Wembley (or two) if they get past their Championship opponents.
Brighton looked the more likely winners of the initial clash, leading from the 30th minute to the 85th minute, yet should be punished for failing to finish the job on their trek up to the KC Stadium.
Ignoring contests with clubs ninth or higher in the Premier League, Hull have won five and lost just one of nine home games in all competitions this term and, even more impressively, have conceded only twice across the lot.
Leonardo Ulloa's Amex Stadium strike was the first that the Humbersiders have given up to a lower-league team in five such encounters in 2013/14, and they didn't lose any of them.
Brighton's away form is on the blink too, as evidenced by the Seagulls being shut out in each of their last three Championship road trips.
Over/Under 2.5 goals
Ten of Brighton's last 12 fixtures gave under 2.5 goal backers exactly what they were counting on. In fact, nine of their last 15 away dates featured one or none, so there is a case for going as low as under 1.5 at 3.052/1.
Under 2.5 goals is priced attractively enough though for those who prefer to show a degree of caution, with odds of 1.75/7 meaty given that 11 of Hull's 14 outings as hosts since promotion to the Premier League have fallen short of the 2.5 mark.
Best Bet: Back Hull to win @ 1.814/5
Other Recommended Bet: Back under 2.5 goals @ 1.75/7
