Premier League and Championship clubs are welcomed into the FA Cup at the third-round stage and on Monday evening they all, along with the remaining 25 lower league clubs, learned who they will be playing in early January. Mike Norman has the draw details...

FA Cup third-round notable ties;

- Watford v Newcastle
- Exeter v Liverpool
- Tottenham v Leicester
- Arsenal v Sunderland
- Eastleigh v Bolton
- Norwich v Man City

FA Cup holders Arsenal will begin the defence of the trophy they have won for the last two seasons with a third-round tie against Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsene Wenger's men have gone 12 games without defeat in the world's most famous club knock-out competition since losing to Blackburn on home soil in February 2013, and will be strong favourites to beat a Black Cats side they defeated 3-1 in the Premier League just last Saturday.

Jurgen Klopp's debut in the FA Cup will be away at League Two outfit Exeter City. The Grecians famously held Manchester United to a 0-0 draw at Old Trafford in 2005, however in their five previous cup matches against Liverpool the Reds can boast a resounding 19-2 aggregate advantage.

Undoubtedly the tie of the round sees surprise Premier League leaders Leicester travel to in-form Tottenham, the two sides met at White Hart Lane at the end of last season with the result going in favour of Mauricio Pochettino's men in a thrilling encounter that ended 4-3.

Man Utd and Chelsea were handed home ties to lower league opposition, Louis van Gaal's men will face Sheffield United while Jose Mourinho must await the replay between Leyton Orient and Scunthorpe before knowing who his side will face.

Man City will travel to Norwich, Watford were drawn at home to Newcastle, and Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace will travel to his former club Southampton in three other all-Premier League ties.

Non-league outfit Eastleigh, who ply their trade in the National League, were handed a home draw against Championship strugglers Bolton, while Salford City - owned by a group of former Manchester United players including new Valencia boss Gary Neville - will host Derby County if they can get past Hartlepool in next week's replay.

Following the draw Man City drifted slightly in the FA Cup Winner market - available to back at [7.0] - though Arsenal and Chelsea shortened marginally, now available to back at [7.6] and [8.2] respectively, with Man Utd, [8.6], and Liverpool, [10.0], the next two clubs listed.
