Dolberg's double has Denmark marching on
As Wales wave goodbye to Euro 2020, Denmark march on to the quarter-finals thanks to a ruthless display in Amsterdam. Kasper Dolberg scored in each half to send Rob Page's side home and set up a clash with either the Netherlands or the Czech Republic.
Before kick-off, Dolberg was 13/1 on the sportsbook to score twice. Dolberg's double probably won't be enough for him to a contender to win the Golden Boot award, for which he is priced at 100/1. Joakim Maehle added a third in the 88th minute before Martin Braithwaite became the sixth different Dane to score this summer with the last kick of the game.
Denmark are the first team to score four goals in back-to-back matches at the European Championships.
Denmark have now scored nine goals in the tournament and those have all come in their last three matches. The Danes had never scored four goals in a European Championship match before they played Russia on Monday. They've now scored four in back-to-back matches and they are 5.14/1 to be the tournament's highest scoring team.
Talk about gathering momentum at the right time. Denmark can be backed at 15.5 to win the Euros. The Danes, who were the first team to qualify from a group stage in the European Championship after losing their first two matches, will not be a team many sides will want to face.
Denmark could be England's opponents in the semi-finals if things go according to plan for Gareth Southgate's side. The Three Lions, who can be backed at 7.613/2 on the exchange to win the Euros, face Germany at Wembley on Tuesday night.
As for Wales, this was their heaviest defeat in their 10 matches at the Euros and their frustrations were compounded by Harry Wilson's red card moments before Denmark scored their fourth.
Italy make hard work of beating Austria
As expected, Italy became the second team through to the quarter-finals, but only after being pushed all the way by an Austria side denied a Marko Arnautovic goal in normal time after a VAR check for offside. Italy, who are now unbeaten in 31 matches, may have lost a few admirers following this performance.

Two goals in extra-time from substitutes Federico Chiesa and Matteo Pessina booked Italy's place in the quarter-finals but conceding their first goal in 1,168 minutes made the last five minutes of extra-time very uncomfortable for the Azzurri who are 7.06/1 on the exchange to go on and win the tournament.
The Austrians leave the tournament, but they leave with the honour of being the only team to score against Italy, so far. Sasa Kalajdzic's header brought Italy's defensive record to an end. Italy's record of not conceding a goal in 19 and a half hours is still an incredible achievement.

If teams can get past Italy's defenders, they have to beat Gianluigi Donnarumma. Good luck with that. Even after the rare occurrence of picking the ball out of the net, the 22-year-old is emerging as one of the best young players at Euro 2020 and he can be backed at 5.59/2 to be named young player of the tournament.
Next up for Italy will be the winner of today's clash between the Euro holders Portugal and Belgium, the number one ranked team in the world. That will test the Azzurri's credentials and will be a game that could make or break Italy's title hopes. Roberto Mancini's men are 5/6 to lose in the quarter-finals.
Andy Brassell on Belgium v Portugal
In one of the ties of the round, European football expert Andy Brassell is expecting Belgium and Portugal to go beyond 90 minutes...
Andy says: "In many contexts this would be hands down the tie of the round, and there are only two reasons to deviate from that opinion; growing excitement over England's match with Germany, and a sense that both of these two not quite hitting the levels so far in Euro 2020 that had them among the favourites to win the competition before its start.
"Belgium are the favourites going into this one at 2.427/5, and rightly so. They haven't dazzled like Italy but have shown a level of control that has largely eluded Portugal so far. They have only conceded one goal and have an in-form goalkeeper in Thibault Courtois.

"We can expect the performances of Roberto Martínez's side to improve further from here as they nurture Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Axel Witsel back to full strength - and good early results in the group already gave them the chance to accelerate that process against Finland.
"Yet Portugal showed they have grit to go with their great players against France, when they diced with the spectre of elimination before pulling it out of the fire.
"Cristiano Ronaldo's fine form is clearly an asset - and many will consider this match simply an all-Serie A duel between him and Romelu Lukaku - but Renato Sanches' great return to the XI stokes hope that Fernando Santos and his men can make it tough for Belgium in their area of strength, midfield. If Portugal really are finding their 2016 resolve, this one could go the distance."
Andy's Bet: Back the draw between Belgium and Portugal @ 3.39/4
Deadly Dutch are ready to deliver
So far, so good for the Dutch as they enter the knockout stage and the squad have managed not to fall out. Not that we know of anyway. That has derailed many a good start by the Dutch in years gone by and manager Frank de Boer will have experienced that for himself. The manager will know what to do to keep harmony throughout this talented group of players.

What is there to fall out about? A perfect three wins from three should have the team singing off the same hymn sheet. They haven't really been tested with the exception of a 10-minute spell in their opening game against Ukraine who scored twice in five minutes to see what the Netherlands were made of. And it turns out, they have character in the team as they scored the winner five minutes from time.
The Dutch were 13/1 on the morning of their Ukraine opener which they won 3-2. After cruising through Group C with three wins from three, the Netherlands are now a generous 9/1 to win their second European Championship and their first since 1988.
The eight goals the Dutch scored in the group stage were the most at Euro 2020 and six of those were scored in the second half.
Of the teams to have made it out of the group stage, the Netherlands have the third best conversion record. Of their 46 chances created in the tournament so far, the Dutch have scored with 17.4 per cent of them. Only Portugal (24.1%) and Belgium (21.9%) have a better success rate. The Dutch are 8/13 favourites to beat the Czech Republic in Budapest.
The Netherlands have scored in their last 10 meetings with the Czechs and they will be confident of doing so again tomorrow. The Dutch are 3.8514/5 on the exchange to finish the tournament as the highest scoring team with midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum is an 18.5 option to win the Golden Boot. The midfielder is two goals behind Cristiano Ronaldo.
Czechs can't rely on Schick to progress
The best way to get to four points in the group stage is to start with a loss, then draw the next game and win the third and final game. The Czech Republic have gone about things in reverse and having lost to England in their previous match, they have no momentum going into their Dutch challenge.
Whether you believe momentum plays a bit part in sport, or not, it doesn't help when you have to pick yourselves up and prepare to face on the more impressive teams so far this tournament. The Czechs are 5/1 to beat the Netherlands in Budapest which has provided brilliant atmospheres for every match it has hosted.
We have yet to see the best of West Ham's Tomas Soucek in the competition and his team will need him to not only create chances for others, but to pop up with a crucial goal like he did regularly for the Hammers last season. Soucek is 16/1 to provide an assist against the Dutch and he can be backed at 17.5 to be the Czechs' first scorer.
Patrik Schick was ranked 345th in UEFA's Fedex Performance Zone rankings before the Czechs' first game against Scotland. He's now 8th.
All eyes will be on Patrik Schick who started the Euros with a bang with three goals in his first two matches. No other Czech player has scored and that has to change as Schick will be a marked man. On the eve of the tournament starting, Schick was 66/1 to be the leading scorer. The Bayer Leverkusen forward can be backed at 65.064/1 to win the Golden Boot award.
