Back Stoke @ 2.89/5 to beat Southampton
Southampton have to be one of the strangest teams ever to grace the Premier League.
Following a loss to Tottenham last season they then went six games unbeaten. They immediately followed that run of good form with five straight defeats, followed by a run of eight games unbeaten. This season, following a defeat to Manchester United, they went eight games without defeat, but immediately followed it with six games without a win.
And the Saints' current form now reads six games unbeaten (five wins and a draw), followed by three games - and counting - without victory.
I'm now starting to believe that it's no fluke - when Ronald Koeman's men hit form they can beat anyone and go five or six weeks without defeat, but as soon as their form dips then it takes them quite a while before they get themselves back on track.
So given the Saints are now on a winless run I'm backing Stoke here. But that's not the only reason, that would be just silly.
Mark Hughes' men are actually a very decent side who sit above Southampton in the table. They've just won three league games on the spin before a very good draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and odds of 2.89/5 about them winning this game at the Britannia are more than fair.

Back Over 2.5 Goals in Aston Villa v Tottenham at 2.0621/20
Any time I can back Overs in a Villa game at bigger than evens then I will take advantage.
And strangely that is just what I can do when the Premier League's joint second best attack goes to Villa Park on Sunday.
The home side have conceded a league worst 55 goals and recent results have seen the Premier League's bottom-placed club hammered 6-0 by Liverpool, 3-1 by Everton and 4-0 last time out by Manchester City.
Spurs may well be a bit knackered from tonight's Europa League exertions and that could offer Remi Garde's side the odd chance to score, while that shaky Villa rearguard looks like it'll be exposed more than once. Overs is the call.

Back Man City -1 v Norwich at 2.89/5
Live on BT Sport 1
There are still nine games to go and they're only one point from safety but things are starting to look ominous for Norwich. It's just one point from nine games for Alex Neil's men and they look hugely fragile at the back, no matter which formation the manager puts them out in. They even managed to lose to Aston Villa.
While their last three defeats have only been by one goal you have to fear for the Canaries when Man City come to town on Saturday lunchtime, with Sergio Aguero fit and firing and both David Silva and Yaya Toure returning to something near their best.
Manuel Pellegrini's men won 3-0 at Carrow Road in the FA Cup meeting earlier this season and I can see something similar on Saturday, so will take the visitors on the goal handicap at a decent price.
