They still trail Lucien Favre and Mario Balotelli's Nice by four points in Ligue 1, but there are signs that things are coming together now for Unai Emery's Paris St-Germain, who are on a run of five wins out of six in all competitions, with four achieved by margins of two goals or greater.

The main improvement has just been becoming more efficient, best evidenced by the fact that they have scored two goals by the half hour mark in four of their last six games. They struck a mere seven times in total in the five prior to that, with six of those seven fired in the 52nd minute or later.

FC Basel's Champions League star appears to be fading. Knockout-stage participants in 2014/15, they didn't get through the qualifiers last term and have earned one Group A point from a possible six thus far, losing to both Ludogorets and Arsenal at the interval.

Consequently, the hosts will be optimistic of leading at both half time and full time at 1.715/7.

Half With Most Goals

Want to cash in on Paris St-Germain's recent first-half form, yet benefit from odds above evens? Backing the opening 45 to feature more goals than the second at 3.412/5 is the most appetising option.

The French side have gone full circle with their net-rippling lately, not notching later than the 67th minute in their previous five matches, the 60th in the past four and the 30th in the last two.

They went 2-0 up on Bordeaux and Nancy in the initial third of those contests and were happy to sit on that advantage, with the opponents only pulling one back between them.

FC Basel had the reverse experience against Arsenal last time out in Europe, falling 2-0 behind by the 26th minute and doing nothing in the remainder of the encounter to alter the scoreline.
