The best bets for Norrkoping, Trencin and Celtic's Champions League second qualifying round second legs...

"The last three Celtic home legs at this stage were won by margins that would see them through: two 2-0s and a 4-0. In two of those fixtures, they had a 1-0 advantage at the break."

Recommended Bet: Back Celtic to lead 1-0 at half time @ 3.211/5

Norrkoping 2.915/8 v Rosenborg 2.56/4; The Draw 3.814/5

Rosenborg showed their flair for the preliminaries of European competitions when entering last season's Europa League in the first qualifying round and clearing all four hurdles between that and the group stage.

Not only did they win every single away encounter of that summer adventure, they did so in the universally-approved travelling manner of soaking up what their opponents had to offer in the first half and then punishing them in the second as they began to tire.

All nine of the goals that they scored in those four qualifiers abroad arrived after the interval, four of them in the final nine minutes, marking them out as great half time draw/full time triumph material.

Recommended Bet: Back Draw/Rosenborg @ 6.411/2

Trencin 1.511/2 v Olimpija 8.88/1; The Draw 4.47/2

Don't count on this clash between the Slovakian and Slovenian champions going by the letter. The first leg was a captivating affair in which Trencin raced into a 4-0 lead within 32 minutes, only for Olimpija to gradually reduce the margin to 4-3, but the return meeting is likely to be far more sedate.

Trencin's previous two continental double headers saw over 2.5 goals scored in the away showdown and under 2.5 in the home one, with the difference vast on both occasions: three goals at Hull compared to none in front of their fans, and five at Steaua Bucharest versus two when hosting them.

Olimpija can now point to a similar pattern in reverse, with their most recent two European matches in Ljubljana serving up a combined 11 goals and the latest two on the road delivering three in total, one of those in extra time.

Recommended Bet: Back under 2.5 goals @ 2.3211/8

Celtic 1.051/20 v Lincoln Red Imps 50.049/1; The Draw 27.026/1

Live on Premier Sports

Even the most resounding victory in the second leg at Parkhead won't be enough to scrub away the memory that the first game of Brendan Rodgers' reign as Celtic manager ended in a 1-0 defeat to Gibraltarian champions Lincoln Red Imps.

The good news for the new boss is that all the stats, as well as the odds, point to the Bhoys making amends for their first-leg failure. This is their fifth straight campaign competing in the Champions League qualifiers and in that time they have partaken in 11 home ties, prevailing in ten of those.

Better still, all three at this stage were won by margins that would see them through on Wednesday: two 2-0s and a 4-0. In two of those fixtures, the Scottish champions had a 1-0 advantage at the break - always courtesy of a centre back too - while Lincoln Red Imps trailed by that margin at half time in their last three Champions League away days.

Recommended Bet: Back Celtic to lead 1-0 at half time @ 3.211/5
