Dan Fitch is forecasting another Champions League disappointment for Basel when they host PSG.
"Five of their last seven wins have seen PSG leading at the break."
Basel 6.25/1 v Paris St-Germain 1.635/8; The Draw 4.3100/30

After impressing in European competition over the past few seasons, Basel can count themselves as unfortunate to find themselves in a group with two of the best teams in the competition.
Currently a distant third in Group A behind PSG and Arsenal, Basel will have to settle for a Europa League spot. It's a disappointment for a club that have won seven consecutive Swiss Super League titles and whose progress is these days judged by their exploits in Europe.
For Basel's opponents PSG, dominating domestic matters to the point where European competition becomes the obsession, is a familiar story, but this season has seen a change in their narrative. With the talismanic Zlatan Ibrahimovic now gone and Unai Emery in charge at the Parc des Princes, PSG are only third in Ligue 1, trailing unbeaten Nice by six points.
Whether having a more competitive title race will help or hinder PSG's Champions League campaign is an interesting point. For now they can be fairly satisfied to be without a loss in their group games, though dropped points at home to Arsenal make this a must-win match.
Basel have been beaten convincingly by Arsenal and PSG, when the French champions ran out as 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture. There's not much value in backing another PSG win, so we must add some conditions to the visitors' likely victory.
You can find odds of PSG Winning To Nil again at a juicy 2.747/4, but a safer option could be to back them to win Half-Time/Full-Time. Five of their last seven wins have seen PSG leading at the break and the quick starters are available at 2.447/5 to do so again.
Back Paris St-Germain to beat Basel half-time/full-time at 2.447/5
