Leeds will boost promotion bid at Swansea

There are big games in every tier of the Football League this weekend. We've picked out one of the most significant in each division and offered our betting advice...

Swansea v Leeds (Saturday, 12.45pm, Sky Sports 2)
The Swans are surprisingly well fancied at [1.99] to see off Leeds in Saturday lunchtime's promotion six-pointer given that their only victory in seven collisions so far with top-six rivals came away to Cardiff. Brendan Rodgers' side currently lead the fight for second yet their visitors are on a run of just one loss in 20 that perhaps is a tad too draw-heavy to justify backing them at [4.3] but certainly lends itself to a lay of the hosts at [2.0] or an eighth draw in 12 for Leeds at [3.6].

Notts County v Charlton (Friday, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 2)
Chris Powell's honeymoon period as Charlton boss appears to be over after successive defeats to Hartlepool and Exeter followed a five-match unbeaten start, and they'll struggle to bounce back at Meadow Lane, as Notts County have lost just once in 11 league games. The visitors' setback in the north east was their first in nine on the road and with the Magpies winning four of their last seven at home, they have to be fancied at [2.38].

Shrewsbury v Gillingham (Saturday, 3pm)
Our pre-season promotion picks looked like wasting their early promise after a winter of discontent but with spring on the horizon, Shrewsbury have hit their best form of the campaign with four wins on the spin. This is arguably the toughest test of their revival though as Gillingham are another club on the up, fighting for a top-three finish having battled relegation in November. Their last trip to the New Meadow ended in a 7-0 thumping, so back them to lose again at [2.36].
