Back Scunthorpe to once again win away
The Football League schedule for this weekend has been ripped apart by the weather but as things stand, both of Saturday's televised Championship games have survived the cull. Here's what we recommend backing in each...
Ipswich v Swansea (12.30pm, Sky Sports 2)
Neither team is making the impression they would like on the Championship form table right now - Ipswich having lost four in a row, the latest a 4-1 derby defeat to Norwich, and Swansea following their derby victory against Cardiff with a run of one win in four. The Tractor Boys defied that form to overcome West Brom in the Carling Cup on Wednesday and they've built on each cup triumph so far with a positive result in the league. Swansea are unbeaten in six league away outings though so all signs point to the draw at [3.3]. Their last two meetings at Portman Road have been score draws and it's [1.89] that both sides net again.
Millwall v Scunthorpe (5.20pm, Sky Sports 2)
Kenny Jackett's men aren't quite in relegation danger yet but they've never really recovered from their jaw-dropping 5-1 loss to Norwich at the New Den in September, winning three of 13 since and just one of six at home, where they were previously invincible. The last thing they need then is a visit from the Championship's third-best travellers, Scunthorpe, who also of course got the better of them in the 2008-09 League Two play-off Final. The Iron have suffered four successive defeats yet have won four on the road against other bottom-half clubs, causing their [5.0] price to tempt us. The more cautious can lay Millwall at [1.85].
