Reading v QPR - Hoops in for a rough ride
It's been a pretty good week for both of these sides with QPR coming out on top against Portsmouth, and Reading getting a hard-earned point against Cardiff City.
And things look set to continue reasonably well for both sides this evening.
However, QPR have an extremely ordinary record away from Loftus Road - winning just one of their last nine on the road. Admittedly, six of those games have ended in a draw, but the lack of wins will undoubtedly be a cause for concern for Neil Warnock.
Rangers have found the net just four times in their last nine away games and much of that is due to the inability of striker Abel Taarabt to score on the road - despite scoring ten in nine home games this term, he hasn't found the net on the road since their 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on October 2nd.
QPR face a Reading team who are on a very good run. The Royals have climbed to within touching distance of the play-off places following a run of one defeat in 15 games.
They have only lost one home game since August and haven't lost at home to QPR since 1997. With Reading striker Shane Long struggling for fitness, there is a good chance they will try to keep things tight rather than going for the win.
With Reading drawing five of their last eight at the Madejski Stadium and six of QPR's last nine away games finishing level, backing this game to finish in a draw at [3.55] looks to be well worth a punt.
