Huge prize on Betfair as QPR drop points
In our preview of Monday night's Championship clash between QPR and Derby, we suggested that the Rams fine record at Loftus Road and impressive form against the top clubs in the division meant that they would hold the leaders, and so it transpired that the teams played out a goalless draw.
It therefore wasn't the greatest spectacle ever, though one magnificent Paddy Kenny save and Adel Taarabt's reaction to being substituted were highlights, yet it was a fantastic result for those that bet on either the stalemate or the match being level at half-time and full-time on Betfair.
A £10 flutter on the table-toppers being held 0-0 in front of their fans returned a massive £133 - even accounting for the maximum five per cent commission - whereas Bwin customers only claimed £82.50 for the exact same bet.
Those that stuck the same amount of the half-time/full-time draw double were also rewarded best on Betfair, as the wager provided a £60.80 profit, compared to £45 if placed with Blue Square.
There was also more money to be made betting against other people on Betfair on the evening's La Liga encounter between Villarreal and Real Zaragoza, as anyone that bet £10 that the Yellow Submarine would win 1-0 won back £77.90, while Blue Square punters had to settle for just £50.
Don't take our word for it though, why not test Betfair yourself using Betchecker?
