Big price on Betfair as QPR lose to Millwall

It was a miserable Tuesday night for a number of the Championship's promotion hopefuls but a fantastic one for those that went against them on Betfair, according to our brilliant website Betchecker, which allows you to compare Betfair payouts with those available elsewhere.

Leaders QPR suffered only their fourth league defeat of the season and first since New Year's Day away to London rivals Millwall and anyone that stuck £10 on the Lions triumphing 2-0 won £170 on Betfair - even accounting for the maximum five per cent commission - compared to £100 on BetClic.

Second-placed Swansea were another to stutter, with boss Brendan Rodgers enduring an unhappy reunion with old employers Watford, who held his side to a 1-1 draw at the Liberty Stadium. £10 on that score returned £74.10 on Betfair, whereas Ladbrokes and Blue Square customers received just £55.

Welsh rivals Cardiff failed to take advantage though, losing 1-0 to struggling Crystal Palace courtesy of a late Kagisho Dikgacoi strike. A £10 wager on the half-time draw/full-time home victory paid out £76 on Betfair, but only delivered a £55 profit to those betting with Ladbrokes or BetClic.

There was also more money to be made betting against other people on Betfair as Sheffield United finally claimed three points at the 15th attempt since Christmas against out-of-form Nottingham Forest at Bramall Lane. £10 on them winning 2-1 was turned into £137.75, while Stan James and Ladbrokes punters had to settle for £100.

Don't take our word for it though, why not test Betfair yourself using Betchecker?
