Preston and Hull in basement battle

It may not sound like the most entertaining way for you to spend your Friday evening, but Hull's trip to Preston North End promises to be an intriguing tie.

North End are currently second bottom in the Championship, with Hull directly above them in 22nd spot.

Preston have managed to record just one win in their last seven games - a 4-3 win against bottom side Crystal Palace - while Hull's record is even worse. The Tigers are without a win in eight games and have only managed three victories all season.

Despite their lowly positions, there promises to be plenty of goalmouth action. Hull have kept only one clean sheet during their run of eight games without a win, while Preston haven't produced a shutout since their 1-0 win over Portsmouth in August - their only clean sheet this season.

Preston have the worst defence in the division, shipping 33 goals in their 16 matches this term. With the Tigers bagging a brace of goals in their 2-2 draw with Leeds United on Tuesday, they will fancy their chances of finding the net. With two such leaky defences, backing over 2.5 goals at [1.89] could be well worth a punt.

With two teams in such dreadful form, everything is set for this to be tight and tense game. A point would take Hull out of the relegation places above Sheffield United (for a few hours at least) and we think that's exactly what they'll get. Back the draw at [3.6].
