Nottingham Forest will stay strong at QPR
There are several massive matches taking place in the Championship this weekend, with perhaps the two tastiest ties of the lot live on television. Here's our verdict on the three we're looking forward to the most...
Hull v Preston (Saturday, 3pm)
Saturday is a huge day for Phil Brown as he takes Championship bottom club Preston to the ground of his greatest managerial successes. He's only collected two points from four games since taking charge at Deepdale, while Hull are unbeaten in six, so it's no shock that the visitors are big outsiders at [6.0]. The Tigers have won just one of their last five at home though so the draw appeals at [3.95].
Derby v Leicester (Saturday, 5.20pm, Sky Sports 2)
Defeat at the Walkers Stadium when on a roll back in November proved a crushing blow for Derby, with the Rams winning a mere two of their dozen matches since. Leicester are absolutely flying under Sven-Goran Eriksson, triumphing in five of their last six in the league and drawing the other. The Foxes therefore have to be fancied at [2.14], while under 2.5 goals is a staple of the fixture at [2.1].
QPR v Nottingham Forest (Sunday, 1.15pm, Sky Sports 1)
Every since a Betfair football forum user stated a strong case for Nottingham Forest taking top spot at [19.5] before Christmas, we've tracked their progress, and have been converted to that line of thought too. It's unsurprising then that we can't see them losing the top-of-the-table clash at Loftus Road on Sunday against a QPR that have won just eight in 20. Forest have claimed as many victories in their last nine outings, drawing the other. Taking three points against such formidable hosts will be a tough task, hence odds of [3.8] but the [2.26] Hoops lay definitely holds some appeal.
A treble on the Hull/Preston draw, Leicester win and QPR lay returns £63.20 for a fiver stake using the Betfair Coupon...
