Nottingham Forest will drop points again
There are 17 games taking place in the Football League tonight and almost all of them are sure to have an impact at the top and bottom of each division. Here's our take on three of the most interesting...
Middlesbrough v Nottingham Forest
Boro's survival chances have been hit by successive home defeats to promotion chasers Swansea and QPR, and Nottingham Forest are biding to complete a hat-trick. The Teessiders' record against the division's finest doesn't inspire hope that they can cause an upset, with only five points to show for their ten meetings with top-six sides to date. Nottingham Forest have hindered their automatic promotion push courtesy of three away league games without a win though so back the draw at [3.35].
Hartlepool v Huddersfield
With Brighton away to Yeovil, Huddersfield must prevent the Seagulls from pulling too clear of third, and in the process will aim to close the gap on second-placed Bournemouth to two points. The Terriers head into their latest fixture on a four-match drawing run however and are far from certain of success against Hartlepool, who have claimed four victories in six against the top four. So while Huddersfield are unbeaten in 2011, the Monkey Hangers are in good nick to change that at [3.05].
Chesterfield v Wycombe
A week of seemingly endless top-of-the-table clashes continues with League Two's finest colliding. The leaders suffered arguably their most shocking loss of the season on Saturday when hosting underperforming Morecambe, whereas Wycombe have come out of a slump with two wins in a row. But while the form perhaps points to Wycombe, the Spireites rarely disappoint in big matches and have bounced back from three of their four prior losses with triumphs, so we're backing them at [2.36].
