Nottingham Forest set for yet another draw
With so much Championship action, we've decided to divide our preview of tonight's games into two bite-size pieces. Here's the second one for you...
Middlesbrough v Burnley
Despite beginning the season as favourites to go up, Middlesbrough have had a pretty poor start. Gordon Strachan's Scottish revolution hasn't exactly gone to plan and they only have one win in their opening five games, scoring just two goals in the process. Burnley scored three goals in the last five minutes to see off Preston at the weekend, but conceded three of their own in that game, so back the draw at [3.45].
Millwall v Reading
It's Millwall. They're playing at home. They will win. Back the Lions at [2.34].
Preston North End v Nottingham Forest
Conceding three goals in the last five minutes against Burnley at the weekend to lose 4-3 will have done nothing to help the already fragile confidence around the Preston camp. They've lost four of their opening five games, while Forest have drawn their last four games 1-1. Back another draw ([3.44]) for the Nottingham side, who haven't won away in the league in 13 attempts.
Sheffield United v Scunthorpe United
After a disappointing start, Sheffield United have started to get going under new boss Gary Speed, and have won their last two league games. Scunthorpe have only won two of their last 12 away games and could struggle against a Blades team who haven't conceded in their last two matches. Putting some cash on a home win at [1.74] will yield a tidy profit.
Swansea City v Coventry City
Their away results may leave a lot to be desired, but at the Liberty, Swansea City are an entirely different proposition. The Swans have only conceded five goals in their last 17 games at home, and have lost only two of their previous 24 on home soil. They should see off a Coventry side - who haven't won on the road in seven attempts - at a tempting [1.68].
Crystal Palace v Portsmouth
The season is only five games old, but already these two teams will be thinking about survival. After beating Leicester on the opening day, Palace have gone on to lose their next four matches. Pompey are finding goals hard to come by, and have scored only one in their opening five. They did get a goalless draw at home to Ipswich last weekend, so back another draw at [3.35].
