Norwich to shine away to in-form Hull City

There are two Football League matches live on television this weekend and plenty of others set to have a huge impact on the battles at the top and bottom of each tier. We've picked out a fixture in all three divisions and offered our verdicts...

Hull v Norwich (Saturday, 3pm)
There are some huge matches in the Championship but the highlight sees the top two Championship performers of the last 21 rounds collide, with play-off hopefuls Hull hosting a Norwich team now three points clear of Swansea in second. The Tigers' best form in recent weeks has been saved for their travels, with their last two outings at the KC Stadium ending in defeats to Cardiff and Burnley, while they have beaten just one top-half rival at home, so consider a flutter on the Canaries at [2.9].

Southampton v Sheffield Wednesday (Saturday, 5.20pm, Sky Sports 2)
Few would dispute that these are the two biggest clubs in League One but their positions of fourth and 16th show that neither are completely fulfilling their potential. The Saints are still right in the race for automatic promotion though and rarely flop on grand occasions at St Mary's, winning six of their last seven there. Gary Megson's side have won two in a row on the road yet were outclassed by in-form Peterborough on Tuesday and should suffer another half-time/full-time loss here at [2.3].

Chesterfield v Rotherham (Friday, 7.45pm, Sky Sports 2)
The 2-0 defeat at Crewe will leave the more pessimistic Chesterfield fans fearing another collapse over the final stretch similar to the one that saw them fall from third to eighth last year, however the Spireites are in far better shape now and always respond to setbacks, not losing successive games all season. Rotherham's top-three ambitions continue to be undermined by dire away results, and they have taken only a point from five trips to fellow top-seven clubs, so back the hosts at a hefty [2.14].
