Norwich to continue poor run at Reading

Norwich City and Reading both picked up decent draws in their mid-week clashes, but neither side will be happy with a point.

Reading were leading the Championship's second side Cardiff City until Jay Bothroyd scored a controversial equaliser that may or may not have crossed the line. Meanwhile, the Canaries conceded a last minute equaliser against Millwall to deny them all three points.

Norwich may be nestled snugly in the play-off spots, but their recent record will be of concern to boss Paul Lambert. The Canaries have won just one of their previous six games in the Championship.

Reading have had a difficult set of fixtures over the past week. Before their Cardiff draw, the Royals had to travel to top of the table Queens Park Rangers who dispatched them comfortably 3-1. Norwich won't be quite as intimidating a prospect, but they will prove difficult opposition.

The Canaries have a very decent away record. In their eight trips away from Carrow Road since their return to the Championship, they have only tasted defeat on two occasions - 3-1 defeats to Doncaster and Cardiff.

However, Reading have won their last four games against Norwich and, prior to this week's fixtures against the top two Championship sides, bagged eight goals in two games to see off Burnley and Doncaster.

If you're a superstitious type however, there is one more thing worth considering. The last six times a Norwich game has been shown live on Sky, the Canaries have been defeated. They are currently at [4.2] to end the Curse of Sky.

Reading are the favourites at [1.98] to come out on top in this clash and we see no reason to back against a win for Brian McDermott's men.
