Ipswich will add to Millwall's home woes

In our second look at the remaining Carling Cup ties, Millwall have a small mountain to climb, Portsmouth have some face to save, and Notts County look to pull out a win of little David with a sling proportions...

Millwall v Ipswich Millwall will be looking to put the recent 6-1 home spanking by Watford behind them with a decent win against Ipswich. Only one problem - Ipswich are performing trememdously well on their travels this season, having won four of their five trips behind enemy lines, whilst drawing the other one. Hence, they are the favourites to take this one with tempting odds of [3.2].

Portsmouth v Leicester
Portsmouth go into tonight's match on the back of a pretty dreadful run of form, which has found them yet to win a match in the allotted 90 minutes this season - It's no picnic down there in the land of ferry crossings. Leicester are having a marginally better time of things, and will take confidence from the fact that they have only lost two of the last ten meetings between the sides, winning six of them. Back them at [2.8] to bag a seventh.

Stoke v Fulham
Two teams with a mixed run so far - both have put in decent showings against tough opposition. Fulham with a nice draw against Manchester United, Stoke with a decent win against Aston Villa. Stoke have won the last two encounters between the teams, scoring four goals while they were at it, and are marginal favourites to take this one, with odds of [2.58].

Wolverhampton v Notts County
In giant killing terms, this would be less David and Goliath, more Audley and David, but after beating Watford in the last round, Notts County have a little bit of wind in their sails. Wind which will surely be stomped out by Mick McCarthy's tough guys, who are understandably the big favourites to win this one, with odds of [1.59]. Notts County fans might remember a certain League Cup victory at Molineux in 1992. Back them at [6.8] to pull off a similar trick this time around.
