Middlesbrough fans - name your new boss!
From pre-season title favourites to just [7.0] to be relegated, Middlesbrough have had a dramatic and rapid fall from grace since the summer, and far from being at the head of affairs in the Championship, they are currently just two places and one point off the foot of the table.
Gordon Strachan has already walked - so who would want to step into the hot seat? At least four experienced managers it would seem, with Sky Sports News reporting that the following have had, or are due to have, an interview at the Riverside...
Tony Mowbray: Spent a decade as a player with Boro and as soon as Strachan was heading through the exit door, the fans were asking for the former West Brom and Celtic manager to take his place
Paul Ince: Former England and Manchester United midfielder who has had a couple of spells in charge of MK Dons, but was less than successful when given a more high-profile role at Blackburn
Gary Megson: Well travelled as a player and a manager and twice got West Brom promoted to the Premier League; he also has top-flight experience with Bolton most recently on his CV
Phil Brown: The perma-tanned former Hull City boss did a great job of getting the Tigers into the Premier League, had a fine first season, but then departed as they struggled the next term
So, Middlesbrough fans, if you were doing the interviews, who would be your preferred candidate?
