Leicester will win at Portsmouth again

After meeting just three days ago in the Carling Cup, Portsmouth host Leicester again in the league looking for revenge. The Foxes won that game 2-1, thanks to goals from Michael Morrison and Lloyd Dyer.

While there is nothing wrong with Leicester's cup form, things haven't gone quite to plan for Paulo Sousa in the league.

They are currently third from bottom in the Championship, with just five points and one win from their opening seven games. They need to get things together quickly if they are to emulate last season's play-off berth.

As big a concern to Sousa as the lack of points, will be the amount of goals his side have conceded. His successful year in charge of Swansea City was built on a solid defence that conceded just 37 times.

Leicester have already conceded 12 goals this term, with eight of them coming in the first 45 minutes. They have also failed to score in any first-half so far, with their earliest goal coming in the 51st minute.

Leicester's poor first-half record, combined with Pompey drawing or winning at half-time in four of their seven league games this season, means we like the look of the [2.16] offered for the half-time draw.

Portsmouth have only scored one goal in four home league games so far, while Leicester have hit the net just three times on their three away days, so backing under 2.5 goals at [1.78] also looks worth a punt.

Pompey will be without Richard Hughes who was sent-off in the week, and their already depleted squad will be stretched to its limit with a second game in three days. It's hard to see past a win for the visitors, especially considering Pompey have yet to win a league game this season. Back a win for Leicester at a very tempting [2.7].

Reckon we're right? Or could Portsmouth get their first win this season? Let us know what you think below...
