Best places to bet in the football pyramid
Betting.Betfair have experts for every division in the Football League, and here are their top tips for this weekend's action...
Championship
Leicester are a fair bit better than their league position suggests. They were good enough to make the play-offs last season and although former boss Paulo Sousa wasn't successful, he hasn't turned the club in the wrong direction either. Their win over Scunthorpe, before the international break, showed that. Visitors Hull do not travel well - they have lost four out of five on the road, and have failed to score in three of those. Back Sven Goran Eriksson's Leicester to beat them at [1.95].
League One
Plymouth head to Meadow Lane having chucked away the points against Charlton last weekend in a game that showed up all the defensive frailties that have troubled them this season. Manager Peter Reid has used five different defensive line-ups in 13 games, and they are highly suspect in dealing with set-pieces and the long ball. Notts County are slightly binary but have goals in them. Although they have lost their last two games, the Magpies were rather hard done by both results and played well against Carlisle. Back Craig Short's men at [2.3].
League Two
Wycombe didn't make the great start expected by many to the season, yet sit just five points off the top of the table. They are building confidence and momentum now with three straight wins, and away victories at Stevenage then Burton are good yardsticks. Chesterfield are going equally strong, with a loss at Rotherham their only defeat. Apart from that eye-popping 5-5 draw with Crewe, they have conceded just one goal a game at worst. It will be a tight one, but Wycombe can sneak victory at [2.3].
