Ipswich deliver as our cup form continues!
After providing three winning tips in the opening Carling Cup semi-final first leg between West Ham and Birmingham on Tuesday, we maintained our supremely successful streak in the competition last night as Ipswich enjoyed a 1-0 triumph over Arsenal at Portman Road.
Our three recommendations for the upset in East Anglia were to oppose Arsenal at the incredibly short price of [1.38], back under 2.5 goals at [2.58] and to expect more goals in the second half at [2.06] and if you covered each bet to a £10 outlay, you'd be £52.72 better off this morning.
It wrapped up a great day on Betfair Football in which we had over 2.5 goals covered both in Blackpool's 2-1 victory against Liverpool and Villarreal's 3-3 draw against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey, while Palermo and Inter Milan both won at fairly generous odds in the Coppa Italia.
But while Ipswich showed how big a mistake it was to underestimate their chances at home, Arsenal are still widely predicted to stage a recovery at the Emirates in two weeks time, with the Gunners rated [1.23] favourites to progress, while the Tractor Boys are [5.1] to make it to Wembley.
Arsene Wenger's side unsurprising remain the leaders in the winners' market too at [1.6] given that all four teams involved stand a realistic chance of going through.
The Premier League sides facing off in the other semi-final are barely separable with West Ham [5.7] and Birmingham [6.0], while Ipswich are still huge outsiders at [18.0].
