Derby and Leeds United fans to get reward

There's a full complement of Championship action tonight, so to make sure that every match is given the attention it deserves, we've split our preview into two halves. The first one covers the first six games alphabetically, with Derby and Leeds among the teams we like the look of...

Burnley v Hull
The first clash between relegated sides this season pits eighth against 15th and while Burnley are yet to taste defeat at Turf Moor, they are winless in three league games since beating rivals Preston and Hull are buoyed in over 18 months at Norwich on Saturday. Our advice is to lay the hosts at [1.88].

Cardiff v Crystal Palace
Both teams are shorn of stars with Seyi Olofinjana and Craig Bellamy (still!) out for Cardiff and James Vaughan and Darren Ambrose absent for the visitors. The Bluebirds should win at [1.57], as Crystal Palace are without a point or goal on the road, but under 2.5 goals may be the best bet at [2.14].

Coventry v Doncaster
The Sky Blues were recently involved in a home match illustrating how irrelevant form is at times in the Championship, losing to seemingly doomed Preston. Doncaster suffered a rare loss too, against leaders QPR, and our money is on a semi-recovery for both clubs, with the draw offered at [3.4].

Derby v Middlesbrough
The Rams hadn't won at home until Saturday, when the loyalty of the quite staggering 28,258 who crammed into Pride Park was rewarded with a 5-0 victory over Crystal Palace. They face more poor travellers in Boro, who have netted just once away from Teesside, and are a tasty [2.48] to triumph.

Leeds v Preston
Darren Ferguson has won successive Championship games only once in his career yet after Preston's impressive display at Coventry, he is [5.2] to repeat the feat at Elland Road. Leeds have been great in front of their fans since their opening day loss to Derby though and have to be fancied at [1.84].

Norwich v Leicester
The Canaries have a remarkable record of responding to setbacks by picking up three points since Paul Lambert took charge but, despite Milan Mandaric's claims that his job is secure, Leicester boss Paulo Sousa can't afford another defeat. We're backing the Foxes to enjoy a shock success at [3.55].
