Derby and Portsmouth will share the spoils
It took Portsmouth seven games to get their first win on their return to the Championship but since they got it - a 6-1 win at home to Leicester - they have been in brilliant form.
They are now seven games without defeat and have picked up 19 from a possible 21 points in that run. They have won their last four and head into this game as narrow favourites at [2.35].
The reason they are only narrow favourites is down to the great form of Derby County. The Rams have lost just one of their last eight games and that was a 2-0 away defeat to Millwall - hardly a disgrace.
They are now up to seventh in the league, just one point behind Reading who occupy the final Play-off spot. Their 4-1 victory against Watford last weekend was highly impressive and Pompey will have to keep a particularly close eye on Tomasz Cywka who scored twice in that game.
Despite their impressive recent form, Pompey have only managed to keep two clean sheets all season. With Derby scoring four in their last outing, backing over 2.5 goals could certainly be worth a punt at [1.87].
Pompey have won their last two away games - difficult trips to Hull and Millwall - while Derby have won their last four on home soil. With two teams in such sparkling form we can only see this ending in a draw. A very entertaining draw, but a draw nonetheless.
Back the game to finish level at [3.6], while the match to finish 2-2 is a very tempting [16.5].
