That didn't last long! Davids leaves Palace
It was one of the most unlikely transfer rumours that became an even more unlikely confirmed deal - but only a couple of months after arriving at Crystal Palace, Dutch legend Edgar Davids has left the club.
The 37-year-old former Ajax, AC Milan, Juventus and Tottenham star moved to Selhurst Park on a pay-as-you-play deal in August, having been out of the game since leaving Ajax in 2008.
However, after starting only seven times for the Eagles - who are currently bottom of the Championship- Davids headed off into the sunset.
He told his own personal website: "Today I have decided that my journey as a player of Crystal Palace FC has come to an end. I want to thank all the people who supported me and gave me one of the greatest experiences of my life."
Are Palace doomed to relegation? They're [1.76] to go down on Betfair...
