QPR set to rescue Stoke striker Kitson
We've already had one round up from the Championship today, but with so much going on, we thought we'd better make it two. It's all been going on - Neil Warnock is after a new striker, Gordon Strachan is unhappy with his team, Huddersfield are after an international striker, and Nottingham Forest are playing hardball with Celtic...
- Not content with comfortably winning his first three Championship games of the season, Neil Warnock looks set to add another striker to his ranks. Dave Kitson certainly did the business for Reading in the Championship, and Warnock must be hoping his £2 million will bag him the player he was, rather than the striker who's been training with Stoke's youth team over the summer.
- Middlesbrough boss Gordon Strachan has urged his players to work harder to get the best out of new striker Kris Boyd. Boyd scored against Sheffield United at the weekend, but Strachan has demanded more from the players around the former Rangers marksman. Strachan said: "If we give him some chances he will finish them. To get the best out of him we have to give him the ball, and to do that our passing has to be better."
- Crystal Palace have confirmed Huddersfield Town have made a reported £500,000 offer for Republic of Ireland international striker Alan Lee.
- Nottingham Forest have slapped a £2 million price tag on defender Kelvin Wilson after Celtic came sniffing around. Neil Lennon was reported to have made an initial bid of around £1 million, but Forest have now allegedly told the Glasgow club to double their bid.
